View Article  Horse picture but no stamps today

Hello, well it is hot here. I mean really hot. I must have lost a kilo or two riding this morning.  So who is going to come up with a name for this horse..  stunning eh!!  notice I left me out of the picture    He is settling into my place quite well. I aim to ride him every morning before going to work. i need to do this to see if he and I are suited.   Anyway less of this trivia, As for stamps. I managed to pack a few to send to people today. Meena from India won the Machin cover. Well done. I have the ITV cover to go to New Zealand and a few others still to pack. sorry have been a bit busy.

Very hot here now. We are having our January heat wave today. Maybe sign of how hot this year will be. And it is dry. Very dry again.

Must go, got people coming for a BBQ  Best wishes .. oh and there are still some places left  on the Machin Round Robin if you want to join in. Details are in previous articles.

Hello, well I did not get round to taking a picture of the new horse. If that is what you were hoping for    I will do tomorrow I promise.  I did ride him today..  my legs are aching.. such a different ride from my other horse. Oh well that is to be expected I guess.   Ok so this is nothing to do with stamps.. but I try to keep you entertained

I checked my mail box on Saturday and found some excellent stamps from a  few people.. one letter had no note inside so I am unsure who it was from.. someone in UK,. thanks.. great selection..  some I am able to use and many I can use in my free packets that I send to children and stamps clubs. So thanks...

Am sorting GB Commeoratives at the moment.. I picked up a few when in London a few weeks back and some came back to me in one of the RRs. Quite a few gaps now being filled.

Dont forget I have more gaps to fill and am doing a Machins RR .. see previous writings for details. Good opportunity for you to get some clean Machins if that is what you collect.

So back to horses.  Rode the new horse and my horse today. Am exhausted well just a bit..

while sorting the stamps I was reminded that someone wrote the GB Ashes Cricket stamps were the first break with tradition by the Royal mail as they showed living people on stamps..   I dont think that is true..  surely there were others?  The rugby issue in 2003??, and maybe the rugby final a few years earlier. Anyone know for sure..????? I should know but haven't checked.. ok I am lazy  Look forward to hearing from you at cddstamps@gmail.com

Hope you are having a great weekend..   enjoy your stamps.. Michael
